Internet advertising through the use of natural, sometimes called organic, submissions is a specialized process.  The procedure consists of several phases.  These phases can be enumerated as follows:

  1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Of the Website to Be Submitted.

  2. Website Classification.

  3. Creation of Landing Pages, Sometimes Called Gateway or Doorway Pages.

  4. Presentation of Your Primary Page Information to the Search Engines  And Directories (Such As Google, Yahoo & MSN), And Many Others, Too Many to Mention.

The search engine optimization primarily consists of the evaluation of the homepage and any other pages which are to be submitted.

But also included in the optimization is a revision of what  are  called the meta-tags. The meta-tags are a part of the underlying code.  the code is that part of the website which is not seen on the Internet, but can be accessed under the "view" button on the browser standard toolbar. Once the view button is pressed, pay "source" button will appear, and if that button is clicked on, the code will appear on the monitor.

Once the source code is viewed, meta-tags encompassing the site's  title, description and keywords should be inserted in the <head> portion of the code.

The page, as it appears to the public, should also be optimized as to clarity and load speed.

As to Site Classification, many search engines require the submission to be accompanied by a category which  briefly describes the nature of the website.

With  regard to Landing Pages, it is frequently to your advantage to create landing pages which are linked to the submitted page. These landing pages must be highly targeted to the subject matter of the submitted page as well as being greatly optimized for the search engines.

Finally, the transmission of this information must be communicated to the search engines that one has chosen. This transmission any to be done manually, by software programs made for that purpose, or a combination of both.
